A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to hike up to Grassy Creek in the Valle Vidal of the Carson N.F. It was the tail end of spring runoff and a good time to take a look at previous years’ work, like this log and rock step-down we built in 2013. In past years we done some repair work on this first time structure and now it seems to have stabilized completely and is doing great. Returning to these site that we have poured so much time and energy into is like visiting old friends and finding them healthy and content in their lives.
